Another new model from Polestar is coming, as the official debut of the Polestar 3 in China is just less than a month ago.

The all-electric high-performance SUV Polestar 4 will make its global debut on April 18, the first day of the Shanghai auto show, the premium electric vehicle maker owned by and Volvo Cars announced on April 11.

The upcoming biennial Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18-27, with press days from April 18-19, professional visitor days from April 20-21, and general public access from April 22-27.

Polestar's booth at the Shanghai auto show is located in Hall 6.2, and the company will hold a press conference on April 18 from 9:20 to 9:40.

The Polestar 4 will be the latest addition to Polestar's product family and will have the aerodynamics of a coupe and the space of an SUV, the company said.

The model is not a refinement of Polestar's existing SUV, but a newly built coupe SUV, said Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of the EV maker.

The Polestar 4 is derived from Polestar's Precept concept design ideas and will have new technology, the company said.

Polestar did not reveal any more information about the Polestar 4. It will present the Polestar 3 at the Shanghai auto show as well as the 2024 Polestar 2.

Polestar was founded in 2017 by Volvo and Geely, and the first product, the Polestar 1, was only available in limited numbers and has been discontinued.

The Polestar 2, which will be officially delivered in 2020, is considered the brand's first real production model on sale, although the model has not been well received in China.

On October 12, 2022, the Polestar 3 SUV made its global debut, when Polestar announced two versions with starting prices in China of RMB 880,000 ($127,770) and RMB 1,030,000, respectively.

On March 17, Polestar officially unveiled the Polestar 3 in China, with a price reduction of nearly RMB 200,000 from the model's international debut last year.

NIO (NYSE: NIO) will launch the new ET7 at the Shanghai auto show next week, in addition to the launch of the new ES6.

"At Auto Shanghai 2023, we are bringing the NIO House to the show floor once again," the electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.

The full range of NIO models equipped with the Banyan intelligent system will be presented, the new ES6 will debut and the 2023 ET7 will be officially launched, NIO said.

Banyan is the software architecture for NIO's NT 2.0 platform-based models, and the company's NT 1.0 platform-based models use a software architecture called Aspen.

The upcoming biennial Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18-27, with press days from April 18-19, professional visitor days from April 20-21, and general public admission from April 22-27.

The show will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, and NIO's booth is located in Hall 6.1, Stand 6A01.

The N-Box augmented entertainment console and AR glasses developed by NIO will be equipped on the EC7 for the first time for the public to experience, according to the company.

This is the first time NIO has confirmed the existence of the new ET7, after rumors began to emerge last month.

At the end of last month, some local media reported that the current NIO ET7 had been discontinued and that the facelift would be optimized for exterior and interior details.

On March 28, an image circulating on social media Xiaohongshu showed that the 2023 ET7 will have a new gold exterior option and will be available with a tow hook option.

Inside, the improved ET7 will have several details optimized, including the seats, wireless charging panel power, and low-speed beep, according to the information in the image.

The NIO ET7 was launched at the NIO Day 2020 event on January 9, 2021, the company's first sedan, with deliveries beginning on March 28, 2022.

Deliveries of the ET7 remained around 3,000 units per month for the vast majority of the second half of last year, but the figures slipped to 1,379 units in December.

Regarding the new ES6, NIO mentioned on April 1 that the model will be unveiled at the Shanghai auto show.

Notably, like the ES7, which is known as the EL7 in Europe, the new ES6 will also be known as the new EL6 in international markets, according to a previous NIO press release.

BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY) officially launched its premium Yangwang brand three months ago and unveiled two models for the brand. Now, one of the models is going to be presented at the Shanghai auto show in 10 days.

Yangwang today shared three images of the U9 electric supercar on its official Weibo account and said the model will be on display at the Shanghai auto show starting April 18.

The upcoming biennial Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18-27, with the press days from April 18-19 and the professional visitors' days from April 20-21, while the general public can enter from April 22-27.

Yangwang did not release more information about the U9, but these images show a few details, including the headlights, that are slightly different from when the model was unveiled in January.

BYD officially launched the Yangwang brand on January 5 and announced the hardcore SUV U8 as well as the supercar U9.

The Yangwang U9 will be priced in the RMB 1 million ($145,400) range and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, BYD said at the time.

Yangwang's research and development team used innovative technology to bring the U9 the ultimate safety body structure, capable of driving comfortably in the city as well as driving at the limits of the track, BYD said.

The U8, the first production model from the Yangwang brand, is a hardcore off-road SUV that is more than 5 meters long and 2 meters wide.

The model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds and will be priced at the RMB 1 million level.

It is not clear if the U8 will also be on display at the Shanghai auto show.

NIO’s new ES6 to debut at Shanghai auto show later this month

will showcase six models based on the latest NT 2.0 platform at the Shanghai auto show, with the all-new ES6 making its debut.

NIO (NYSE: NIO) will have the facelift of its previously popular ES6 SUV unveiled at the Shanghai auto show later this month, marking the first time the company has unveiled a new model at an auto show.

The company will showcase six models based on its latest NT 2.0 platform at the Shanghai auto show, with the all-new ES6 making its debut, it said in a post announcing March delivery figures on its WeChat account.

The upcoming biennial Shanghai auto show will be held from April 18-27, with the press days from April 18-19 and the professional visitors' days from April 20-21, while the general public can visit from April 22-27.

NIO App is currently showcasing eight models, including the ES8, ES6 and EC6 based on the NT 1.0 platform, and the new ES8, ES7, EC7, ET7 and ET5 based on the NT 2.0 platform.

The EC7 and the new ES8 were launched at NIO Day 2022 on December 24, 2022, and deliveries are set to begin in May and June 2023, respectively.

NIO did not provide any further information on the new ES6, but the model has appeared in a regulatory catalog in China in January.

On January 11, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a list of models that will soon be allowed to be sold in China, and the new NIO ES6 was included.

The new NIO ES6 has a length, width and height of 4,854 mm, 1,995 mm and 1,703 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm, according to the model's filing page.

The model's LiDAR and camera setup are in line with the other current NIO models based on the NT 2.0 platform. Its rear end also features a through-tail lamp design similar to the ET7, rather than the split design of the current model.

The new ES6 is something to look forward to, as its predecessor was NIO's cheapest SUV, contributing the most sales for the company in a very long time.

From January to August 2022, the ES6 delivered 32,877 units, contributing 46 percent of NIO's total deliveries of 71,556 units during that period, figures monitored by CnEVPost from the company as well as the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) show.
