Insurance registrations for most new energy vehicle (NEV) brands in China were flat or up slightly last week compared to the previous week, the latest figures show.
XPeng's Guangzhou plant was qualified in December to produce vehicles with a design capacity of 120,000 vehicles a year, a contractor for the company said.
The new XPeng P7 was launched in Europe on February 3, and the model is expected to be officially launched in China in March.
Point72 increased its bet on NIO in the fourth quarter, re-bought Li Auto, but liquidated its position in XPeng.
BYD and NIO's numbers were higher than the previous week, while Tesla's were lower than the previous week.
Bridgewater reduced its holdings in NIO by 27.91 percent, XPeng by 6.15 percent and Li Auto by 46.63 percent during the fourth quarter.
